The Return

She froze…

The enormous land which was isolated and abandoned, highlighted her appearance. Maya’s neatly tied glossy hair, pale sapphire T-shirt with white trousers made and navy blue-white spotted shoes ties with laces was the only colouful and vivid thing to be seen.

Closing her eyes, she remembered the same dessicated and blood stained place to be a place with a gigantic swimming pool of deep scarlet blood : which was so fresh. Dead body’s lying here and there, blood shedding out of people’s bodies, everything damaged, smoke spread across the place : everything seemed to be lifeless.

That day, Maya cheerfully played around with her friends, spent some family time and relished on the most delectable food. It was a perfect day she thought. But how could the poor one know what was going to happen which would shatter all of it down. Just as when she hugged my mother, she heard a tumultuous clattering noise which frightened her away. Just when all of her family members opened the door, Boom! It was all over.

They all were brutally injured and were on the verge of death. How in the world would they know how did this happen? It was all pre-planned by some terrorists who set time-bombers which nobody knew of. Just as it got midnight, right at 12 o’clock, the bomb blasted out at the whole place, putting everyone’s life in a peril. But as it was destined all of them died except her– who was the only survivor in the massive bomb blast incident.

Although she was also badly injured, Maya was stuck in between a cart but it was easy for her to escape as she was quite tall and thin. When she stood up with the aid of the cart wheel, her eyes got completely scarlet, seeing blood everywhere around. My greasy, grimy and contaminated clothes were torn and stained with lots of blood which shedded during the bomb blast. She burst out of tears as she realised that my parents died away. No one was alive and she didn’t understand what to do. She sat beside my parents and mourned for their death, feeling helpless. Maya felt really very frightened, terrified and petrified like a person who had lost everything : in fact, she actually did indeed lose everything. She lost family, friends, loved ones, her house, her self-confidence, her self-esteem, her hope ; just everything.

Thinking that she should find help from somewhere, Maya tried her best running to the sea far from here : but huffed and puffed with herself bleeding a lot.

She never found any help, but after reaching the sea, and going through it by the boat, Maya’s life completely changed. She reached an unknown hustling-bustling city with people – rude and greedy.

She blinked her eyes hard as the dreadful memory shivered down the memory lane. So terrible it was! Trudging around the abandoned and isolated place after years back, the memory got freshly alive back and she couldn’t stop her tears rolling down her pale, sticky and greasy face.

Out of the blue, her instinct told her to turn around and as she did : what she saw broke her down and got her down to her knees ; not really understanding what was happening, she felt it completely unbelievable.
