The key objective was to prepare a document to compile the ideas and suggestions clubbing all domains of sustainability in a comprehensive manner for better understanding. The document named as “Mission Sustainable India” (MSI) was to prescribe a road map for taking India to a sustainable
development path starting on 15th August, 2022, the year of Platinum Jubilee year of our political independence.
The chapters open up important discourses over structural changes needed in spheres like governance, bureaucracy, judiciary, communication, health, food, habitat, energy and water as well as other sectors such as transport, manufacturing, culture. And has contributions from experts in many fields. Poignant proposals in this document include the vision of reframing the Ministries in broad framework of 5 Ps with equal allocation of budget for each. And setting up of “Courts of Conscience” and self-learning facilitation centres for promoting sustainability.
The Mission Sustainable India envisages taking India that is Bharat, to a sustainable development path beginning 15 August 2022 coinciding 75 years of our political Independence from British rule. To achieve its objective, the mission recommends various structural changes and best practices.
These recommendations and best practices are consolidated in various chapters after a thorough research from a group of professionals working in various sectors. All chapters are based on five dimensional Ps (Planet, People, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership).
