A Letter To My Late Father, A Friend, And Spiritual Mentor
To my dearest and loving late father,
I always miss your presence in this world. Wherever I am, at home, at work, or somewhere else, I always think about you. You left us more than one year ago, but every single day I remember you, and I feel the spent memories of joy, emotional attachment, and spiritual guidance that I inherited from you.
Your name, Najam, means “shining star,” and you are the shining star of the night who showed the way to a lost traveler like us. My mother loved and supported you in all your happy and difficult times. In your last surviving days, we both developed a strong bond. I started respecting and adoring you so much more than my father. Even my younger brother had a special kind of respect and love within his heart and soul. Although he never showed it openly, he loves you the most.
Maybe, One day we will all come to your paradise and live happily hereafter. You have shown the true path of righteousness. Your advice and teachings on life, faith, and evil will always be with us until our deaths.
You are dead, but I have kept you alive in my heart. I truly follow your guided path of justice and truth. We never thought or imagined in our life that all of sudden, you will leave us. You were martyred by the 7 to 8 members of a gang of drug addicts with the help of conspirator Shehbaaz Khan, who extended the hand of friendship and arranged for your murder from the USA a few months before your death.
I pray that you get justice in the court of Allah. We miss you so much, Papa. “I miss you very much. Every day, we miss you. We hope you are happy in heaven in the house of God and you are watching from above on us”.
I hope this letter reaches you.
And one last thing that I forgot to mention is that, with your blessings, I and Kashifa had a son. Your grandson, Zayd. We all pray for you and hope that you get justice.
Your obedient and loving son,
Mohammed Zahoor Khan
