Chapter 3

Ram did engineering classes and soon joined my father Raghu in his work in railways. One day, Ram as usual buys some kitchen supplements and kitchen essentials alongwith Raghu from the village. Then they both set off the next morning to the railway station of Calcutta.

There is a new railway line to be made connecting Calcutta to Assam and Raghu makes Ram the site supervisor for the same. Ram works very hard at his first project and the British government is happy with his work. Raghu is also given a promotion and is made superintendent engineer of the east railways of Calcutta.
