The Transition
Growing up I realize
life changes so fast;
from being a sum of cherished moments
in the season,
it turned into reciprocal barn of verdant vagaries.
I wake up to a new competition
at the dawn.
It comes under the guise of responsibility.
The folks recruit me to their community;
Everything I want to live
can be won through the war only;
the clothes I wear
the food I eat
the job I do
in the battlefield.
My happiness goes into hibernation
I ask my mind to persevere over my emotions.
At the dusk,
my soul finally decodes the key
to win the competition—
it leaves my emotions…
erstwhile, it used to live it.
