A Prayer for Wayanad
In the place of Wayanad, the place of great mountains,
There came a landslide that caused deep fountains,
The greenery of the place is totally vanished,
The joy of the people eventually diminished.
In the quiet forest where the tall trees stand,
Nature weeps for what it’s lost from the land.
But in the heart of sorrow, we find strength to mend,
For love and hope can always help us blend.
Though the path seems to be dark,
The path will be filled with numerous barks,
Together we shall stand for the welfare of the people,
Let the darkness and sadness become feeble.
Let us pray the almighty to save them from further calamities,
Let them be free from further disparities
We hold onto each other through the night so deep,
In Wayanad’s embrace, where our lost souls sleep.
