Stardust’s Fortune

It was a stormy night. Rain pittered and pattered the ground while thunder rumbled and growled. Lightening flashed. In a playground, a poor little dog whimpered, scared as it was alone.

It just happened that two sisters, Jessie and Hazel, were walking down the same path, going home. They found the cute little dog, wet and sad. They picked it up and gave it shade under the umbrella. The dog licked them gratefully. They decided to call it ‘Stardust’.

When they reached home, Jessie and Hazel gave Stardust food and water. He gobbled up the food and quaffed down the water before you cold say ‘yummy’ ! After that, they ran around the house, playing and having fun, until Stardust got tired. He fell asleep on the spot. Jessie and Hazel picked him up and gently placed him inside a blanket.

They sat on the couch looking at Stardust as he slept. They had adopted a dog ! It had been their heart’s desire to adopt an animal and it had finally come true. They chatted until they got sleepy and fell asleep, too.

Next time you see a dog in need, adopt it too !
