About the Author
Samairaa Atri is a 16-year-old feminist and passionate advocate for queer rights as well as gender inclusivity. Her dedication to social justice is reflected in her involvement with initiatives such as Project Period, where she focuses on promoting menstrual health and education. Samairaa is committed to uplifting and supporting marginalised communities through her advocacy work.
In addition to her activism, Samairaa engages in a variety of interests, including aerial silks, bouldering, and theatre – which she is pursuing as part of the IB programme. She also loves listening to different types of music (her favourite genres being rock and jazz) and writing poetry, some of which are featured in this book. These pursuits highlight her creativity and commitment to personal growth, community engagement, and making a meaningful impact on diverse communities.
