The Holy Land
10 miles away
from the holy land of Jerusalem
stands a building of dreams,
yielding a family
with sprinkles of love
unto this day
10 metres close
to the barn of God.
Bulldozer, a demolition demon, arrives
with a distorted dreams of
of dulling their existence.
A flashback peeps in their eyes
as tears roll down their cheeks
dipped in the drops of memories
that no moment could erase
till eternity.
The bulldozer moves ahead…
standing some distance apart, the mother
embraces her kids with a touch of resilience
stemming from the valiant land
are the plants sown by faith,
the horizon have witnessed umpteen tales
of valour, perseverance and sacrifice
in the guise of a contagious smile,
the shores nearby tame the malicious storm
in divine waves
the soul of mother resonates…..
this structure
may perish, but
not their legacy…
for she knows
it blooms eternally
in the garden of Eden.
Flowing from the heavens above the skies;
A breeze inscribes their name
and takes their melancholy away.
