EPILOGUE
Anna is 60 years old.She is a renowned weaver and is running several small scale industries. She has been elected vice chairperson of the weaving industries of Calcutta and is world famous. She has won national acclaim .
As you enter her home, there are several anna coins which originate back to partition days and were given to her by her mother Sangini. There is a full room of awards, international as well as national.
She adopts a girl who is herself a very good weaver and is from Sam’s maternal side. She is of foreign origin. She likes Anna very much and is named Anne. Meanwhile Anu’ s and Ram’s son who was born in 1960 is also in his middle 40 ‘s. He comes to visit Anna regularly and is also employed in Indian railways.
One day Ravi invites Anna for dinner somewhere outside. Anna takes Anne also and all of them sit together. Anna comes to know about the demise of Ram and Anu. He also tells her that the government had given Anna huge grants on behalf of Sam because he was an undercover agent. He had died because of a lot of government pressure on him to solve some cases pertaining to the government. She accepts the grants and give them to Anne as she is Sam’s relative. Anne goes with Ravi( Ram and Anu’s son) out for shopping. She spends time with him and finds him a very mature and understanding company.
