My lost friend

There came my 10th std. Board exam results. I was not upto my parents expectations but seemed to have done well.

In my 10th standard, I had my best friend Alka. She was a very noble and sweet person. I used to be absent from school in the preparatory. Once I was absent as I had a viral. I asked Alka to send her geography notes as she had attended school.

I asked her,”Dear Alka! Could you send the notebook through somebody and Yes!My best friend sent it and I just read it thoroughly.

I seemed to have topped in hindi and she in geography. It was altogether a good result.

Then towards 11th standard, there was a transition. Sacred heart school was at that time only running in tenths. So I had to change my school. It was a new school vidya mandir. I had parted with my friend Alka. It was altogether a new school. I used to attend tuitions and was given a boost by my parents. I used to cycle all the way from home to school and back. I had no friends now. My class teacher told me to study hard and the most of all my maths teacher. The school indeed taught me to work hard for results. I somehow met upto my teachers expectations.

And I also did my competitive exams well. But when I asked my parents to let me meet Alka my past old friend I came to know that she had migrated abroad and was pursuing fashion designing.

Later on I came to being friends with some smaller aged children of my neighbourhood. There were many friends in the university itself.

One very nice friend of mine told me that Alka’s mother had passed away so she had to get married to an elderly person and had shifted to 🇳🇴 Norway. She could not be contacted at all. This is life for it is full of challenges. You miss your friends and they miss you too but life has its own secrets and complications. I have till this date no contact with Alka.
