Can’t we meet for the first time again
Can’t we meet for the first time again
the sun is about to set
i tie my hair, the way you like it
walking the path lonely
amidst lined pines
turning around, hoping to find
you follow me,
but what i find is
just a shadow of me
metros will have numerous memoirs
i have reserved a space for you
to my left
as usual you would be boarding, soon
and every halt that it makes
my eyes turn
expecting you at the doorway.
the waiter waits upon me
understanding, clearing his throat
now and then,
that i realize and ask for a coffee
he returns with an extra cup
for him.
the path to the windy cliff
has become lonely for me
the trees, birds, waiting
the cool breeze reminds
it’s all in place, except you
it’s the same place first time we met
can’t we rewind and start again?
can’t we meet for the
first time again?
