The demon in me
The demon in me
he’s back, I whispered
who? inquired the tiny voice in my mind
fiend from future
he’s building an army,
lures, tempts me with lust,
how do you know that? inquired the voice again
my body burns, he hijack’s my mind,
ignores my will
sshhhhhhhhhh, no worries
come sleep with me, the voice whispered
so my guess was right,
it wasn’t the demon outside
but the demon within
the tiny inner voice laughs, fades away
i open my eyes, to see the warden
feeling my forehead and the pulse
quipped she, read some good books Garry
true, I said to myself
sometimes, we miss what is obvious
the battle should begin
with the demon within
