The winter solstice
The winter solstice (Taken from Jaded Blue)
**
I recall those confined, desolate moments
when I let myself down
**
of what i have, a little or no light, fading gradually
giving way to a gripping fear, will i miss her?
**
of predominating bleak nights
not a soul in sight, but me to listen, to touch, to feel
**
life frigid, yet the precipitation does not halt
will it disintegrate or conserve me
**
will the christmas bell ring for me too?
will santa help me find my beloved? the only gift I will cherish for a lifetime
**
being inimical, tightening the grip on 23 lest I slip
extending hold, wishing to take a swing and land in 24
**
a lag, late bloomer, looks like an earlier setter too
locking horns while expecting very little, living in umbra
**
a tilt farther away, reminds me of little ice age
craving to take to wings, migrate, coil down to her bosom away from this winter solstice
