The Stubborn Soul - ZorbaBooks

The Stubborn Soul

A mountain unmoved by the howling wind,

A ship that resists the ocean’s spin.

The stubborn soul stands firm and tall.

Refusing to bend, refusing to fall.

The reason may knock with a gentle plea,

But it finds no entry, no way to be.

For walls of pride encircle the mind,

To other views, completely blind.

Change whispers softly, a chance to grow,

But the stubborn soul only says “No.”

Clinging to paths that lead to despair,

Ignoring the light that beckons elsewhere.

Oh, stubborn heart, so fierce, so proud,

Wrapped in silence, shunning the crowd.

Yet beneath the armor, the truth may hide,

A fragile fear, a wound denied.

May wisdom one day unlock the door,

May love and patience heal what’s sore.

For even the strongest must learn to yield,

To the gentle rains that nurture the field.
