A PILE OF CARDS. - ZorbaBooks

A PILE OF CARDS.

He was a wind,

That left me entwined to his soul

Saw him through the peak of the corner

Extroverted was he, I an introverted shy one.

Smiling he said “hey”, the first time he ever spoke to me,

At that moment was when my perfectly planned out life turned completely upside down.

We kept talking ever since then, except for that one moment where it all turned to ashes;

Isn’t it weird? We plan out our entire life just for that one moment where it all shatters down like a pile of cards waiting for its wind to tear it down and be lost all over again.

He was that wind for me and I the pile of cards, who planned her entire life with him.

His eyes were like the waves of the ocean, which whenever I looked, I just dived more into them.

He was different with me; more gentle, more caring, more him.

Love was it I thought.

His smile was the most beautiful thing I ever saw, specially when it was because of me.

I loved him like we were meant to be, planning each and every moment with him;

Creating a fairytale just like every lover does.

He shattered it all, just like how every epic love story ends ours ended too,

Just not with a happy end.

He was that wind, that shattered me into pieces I couldn’t even find.

But just like every former lover said,

“You’ll always be the most loved chapter in my book,

To which I’ll never turn back the page to…”
