Poem- False Patriotism
False patriotism
In the name of land, they wave their flags high,
But beneath the surface, it’s all a lie
Loudly they should, For country, For Pride.
Yet in their hearts, true love has died.
They stand on stages,
Voices loud and clear.
Proclaiming their love for their nation year after year.
But behind the speeches, the grand display
Lies a hollow echo, leading their hearts astray.
They wear their clothes saffron, white and green.
Patriotism isn’t a show,
It’s in the deeds we sow.
True love for the land is gentle and true,
It’s in the small things we all can do,
So, beware of the ones who shout the most,
Their love for the land is abandoned deep down,
So let not the false patriots lead,
For their hearts filled with greed.
True patriotism, is humble and kind,
In every action, it’s there to find.
It is a silent and strong song.
In every heart, it belongs.
