The art of adoration: Pt-2
And as this feeling grows, something else happens—you start to change. You notice that you’re different, more alive somehow. Happiness isn’t just a fleeting emotion; it becomes a part of who you are, like the air you breathe. Sadness, once a frequent companion, becomes merely a visitor, dropping by occasionally but never staying long.
When you love someone, truly love them, they become the center of your universe. Every conversation, every laugh, every shared moment plays on repeat in your mind, even when you’re not together. It’s like they’re always with you, no matter where you are. Their voice becomes the soundtrack of your days, their smile the image that dances behind your eyelids when you close your eyes at night. You find yourself lost in thoughts of them, and it’s a kind of loss you never want to find your way out of.
The days you spend with your beloved are the most beautiful days of your life. They are golden, bathed in the light of first love, a light that never quite shines the same way again. The first touch, the first kiss, the first time you say “I love you”—these moments are etched into your memory, precious and irreplaceable.
But as time passes, life moves forward, and sometimes love does too. Yet, the memory of that first love, those golden days, stays with you. It becomes a part of you, shaping who you are and how you see the world. And though you may love again, and perhaps even more deeply, there’s something about that first love that remains unique—a chapter in your life that can never be rewritten.
