Call of the Sea
Call of the Sea
Before me, the sprawling sea is lying
Wallowed In a covering transparent;
I’m sitting mesmerized looking as far
My eyes can reach, seeking the distant
Horizon; only the expanding sky azure
Is my far-off companion;
A mammoth rock is rising upwards standing
In the deep sea, offering prayers to
Almighty in silence,
I feel solace in the surrounding which
Appear to be extremely calm and
Contented; for sometime, I am relieved
Of the burden of my large ego, and
My false persona exuding airs of
My self-imposed vanity and pride; sitting
For hours together, I feel grounded and
Shorn of any falsity;
I love being there and watching the gentle
Waves flashing broad smiles sending
The message of living life simply and peacefully;
I’m charged up for the time
Being in the course of my journey
Of my life;
Watching the silent sea for hours is
A part of my soul-searching,
Running continuously till the end.
