The Landfall
The Landfall
I am a lonely woman, frail and weakling,
Before your mighty presence, O,landfall!
People have witnessed your frightening face,
Overriding the tumultuous waves of the
Turbulent ocean; but you are not satisfied,
It seems; you are traversing a path of destruction from sea to the deserts, and
So on; nobody can predict your ultimate Destiny;
Right here on this patch of land, the Empathetic moon is illuminating my path,
By shedding light from his eternal torch;
I have to reach my destination safe and
Secure in the dark of night, before you
Could strike your lethal blows; I have
Nothing to defend myself except my will
Power to survive; I wish to feel and enjoy
This beautiful world;
The winds are blowing in terrific speed,
Trying to uproot me from the mother earth;
It is becoming harder and harder to clutch
At my flowing robes and the bag, but
My soul is intact facing the upheaval
Nonchalantly, and with rare resolution;
On the wings of feathery moonlight,
I can fly over your ambitious sweep;
I will emerge victor in the end;
I will see your demise happily, at last.
