A Voice That Won’t Be Silenced

A Voice That Won’t Be Silenced

Can you hear me even though I’m not here anymore?

My breath was stolen, my life torn away,

Yet my voice echoes across the land,

Crying out from the darkness where I fell.

My heart was caring, and I was a healer.

I was someone’s hope, someone’s daughter.

A light that once brightened a home.

But they crushed my spirit, took my rights,

Leaving behind a silence that screams for justice.

Now, I am a voice carried by the wind,

Now, my voice rings out across the country,

A plea for safety, a demand for change.

Let my death not be in vain,

Let my suffering be the last of its kind.

For every woman, every daughter,

Deserves to live without fear.

Why was I stripped of my dignity,

Why was my peace shattered so brutally?

I had dreams, just like you,

I had a life full of promise, just like you.

For I was a life that mattered,

And I will not be forgotten.
