My Life In A Nutshell

In childhood’s embrace, adolescence’s vigour, and the tapestry of immaturity,

I shaped my world

with hues of youthfulness.

Through classrooms and exam halls, with echoes of annoying teachers,

In the realm of music, movies, and sports,

under a sun shining brighter,

Facing the wind,

dancing in the rain,

a good life for every season,

Swinging moods,

wandering on picnics for no reason.

Arranged marriage unfolded,

true minds entwined, love from the wedding day,

Respect and acceptance, the happiness of knowing what to say,

Three sons, joys in life,

unconditional love, carefree,

Old memories holding, refreshing, and craving, no worries.

Giving meaning to existence, living well, king-size,

My advice echoed:

to love, laugh, play games, and study well.

Donkey’s years of endless work

amidst flowing metal,

Looking back, the steel mills make me ponder.

Scorching heat rising with the sun posed a threat.

My body, my clothing drenched in sweat,

Working, huffing, and puffing

until the sirens scream,

Changing shifts,

eternal darkness in the night’s dream.

Whispering voices

Predicting shifts anytime now.

Uniqueness unfolds, changing places, unaware of how.

Future uncertain,

unseen, many questions, darksome fears,

Bombay beckons;

beneath the sun, the mighty sea and gentle wind cheers,

Greener pastures,

destined routes, foreign travel, lessons learned,

Joy and sorrow,

mountains climbed, and bridges burned.

Decades later,

punched and punctured with wounds,

When triggered,

dark, tedious images surround.

Good times ensue.

the sun rises, streams silvery beams,

On verdant grass

and jasmine flowers, creating a glorious sheen,

Home, sweet home,

filled with voices, dripping with bliss,

Changes are

happening,

the past is forgotten,

and the future is welcomed with a kiss.
