There Is Something Beautiful About Haiku

Hello Friends,

Have you ever come across Haiku poems? They’re like little windows into a whole world! Seriously, these short, sweet verses can capture the essence of a moment most beautifully and simply.

Haiku is a traditional form of 17th-century Japanese poetry that has gained popularity and adapted into English.

In its traditional form, a Haiku consists of three lines with a syllable pattern 5-7-5. This means the first line contains five syllables, the second line has seven syllables, and the third line contains five syllables again.

Haiku typically focuses on nature, seasons, and sensory experiences; it aims to evoke an emotional response, encourage mindfulness, and celebrate the beauty and transience of the natural world in just a few lines.

I am delighted to present my six Haiku poems inspired by the beauty of nature and the changing seasons.

Spring:

Cherry blossoms bloom,

Whispers of love in the air,

Nature’s sweet embrace.

**************************************

Summer:

Golden sun ablaze,

Laughter dances on the warm breeze,

Joy in every ray.

***************************************

 Monsoon:

Raindrops gently fall,

Cleansing earth with soothing touch,

 Nature’s tears of grace.

*****************************************

Autumn:

Leaves of fiery hues,

Whisper secrets in the wind,

Seasons change, hearts sigh.

********************************************

 Pre-winter:

Crisp air fills the eve,

Nature’s canvas turning cold,

Anticipation.

***********************************************

 Winter:

Snowflakes softly fall,

Blanketing the world in white,

Peaceful winter’s hush.

************************************************

Dry Season

Barren earth awaits,

Thirsty soil begs for mercy,

Life’s struggle unfolds.

I eagerly await your comments and feedback. Your thoughts mean a lot to me.
