IN THE SHADOWS DEEP
In shadows deep, where dreams reside,
The future’s veil, I cannot hide.
A timid heart, with fears unshown,
A fragile seed, yet to be grown.
The days ahead, a daunting maze,
In growing up, I’m lost in haze.
Responsibilities, they loom so near,
A silent whisper of my fear.
The world expects, demands so much,
Innocence fades at slightest touch.
The child within, it clings to play,
Afraid to face the light of day.
But time, relentless, moves along,
A river’s course, a timeless song.
In every step, in every stride,
A chance to grow, to not subside.
Embrace the change, though fear may call,
In growing up, we learn to fall.
Yet rise again, with lessons learned,
For strength and courage, hard-earned.
So though I’m scared, I won’t retreat,
In every fear, a hope discreet.
For growing up, though fraught with fear,
Brings dreams fulfilled, and paths made clear.
