A Boating Adventure
It was a beautiful Thursday morning. Birds chirped and fluttered, filling the morning with joy. Three siblings, Carter, Sadie and Desjardins, woke up at the crack of dawn. They were excited to go boating in the lake, because their summer vacations had just started!
They got ready and sat in the car. Their father dropped them to the boating lake, and gave each of them 1000 Rupees as pocket money. Then he left. Carter went to buy boating tickets for each of them while Sadie and Desjardins selected a motorboat. Though it was early in the morning, Carter came back with the tickets around lunchtime! They quickly went and had their lunch in a lakeside restaurant, gobbling up their food in the blink of an eye. Then they rented the motorboat they had chosen. They sat on the boat, enjoying the beautiful view. Sadie sat on the front of the boat, Carter in the middle, and Desjardins at the back. Just to have fun, Desjardins said that he would make the boat go faster because it was going too slow. Carter said no. Desjardins moved his hand toward the motor to make the speed higher but Carter pulled his hand away.
The two boys began fighting. Unaware of what was happening behind her, Sadie sat happily looking at the sun going down the horizon. Despite Carter’s protests, Desjardins pulled the motor anyway. At first, nothing happened. Then, the boat started zooming around at the highest speed, going in random directions. All three kids started screaming. Desjardins out of delight and amusement, and Sadie and Carter out of fear. After a while, the boat broke down and stopped on an island in the middle of nowhere. The kids were stranded on a deserted island! Not after too long, at about seven o’ clock in the evening, they saw a helicopter coming around, probably looking for them. They decided to cut some wood, spell it out in the word ‘HELP’, and then paint it red. Then they stopped. How would they get red paint? Sadie suggested that they could crush berries to create red paint. They all liked the idea. Sadie went to collect some berries while Carter and Desjardins went to get some wood. Then they spelt ‘HELP’ with wood and painted it red with berries. The helicopter spotted them and picked them up.
When the helicopter dropped them home, their father was very worried and was contemplating on calling 911. When he saw them, he was relieved. Carter told him what happened so he scolded Desjardins. Then he just smiled and took them out for ice-cream. After all, the kids ended up having fun!
