Going Camping!
It was a Friday morning. As the school bell rang, children rushed in to their classrooms hurriedly. Everyone from 5th grade was bursting with excitement, because they were going on a three day camping trip! A few minutes before they left, the co-ordinator of 5th grade, Ms. Annie, made everyone check that they had everything needed which included 2 liters of water, 4 pairs of clothes, a lot of picnic food, their tent, a notebook and pen, and a phone to call people in case of an emergency. Everyone had them.
Ms. Annie led everyone to the bus. Everyone piled in excitedly. They sat with their friends, enjoying the view, chatting and singing songs. When they reached, Ms. Annie took them to their camping spot. She told everyone the rules. Then, she said that everyone could go play for a while. When it was lunch time, Ms. Annie called everyone back for lunch. everyone was eating peacefully until a boy called Nico yelled out in surprise.
Everyone gathered around to see what happened. Nico told them that when he opened his bag, he couldn’t find his bottle. Nico was quite mad, because he had just bought that plastic water bottle. So, everyone started looking for it. But they couldn’t find it anywhere. Just when Nico had nearly lost hope, a girl called Reyna started jumping up and down, shouting that she had found the bottle. Everyone gathered around the spot she was pointing to. Sure enough, it was there, with a monkey holding it! The monkey had just finished gulping down the last drop of water. Nico was outraged.
Ms. Annie got him a new bottle, and the camping trip continued peacefully. Nico was sure to stay away from monkeys after that!
