Dreams and reflections:Kissing The Sky

On a June afternoon thoughts drift across my mind, but like drifting clouds, go away. I get an urge to spontaneously express………………

Life seems to be draping itself with layers and layers of grey, and my mind is also grey, the clouds in the cloudy afternoon are also a listless grey, and I am trying to make the grey matter in my brain work………

Maybe my external range of motion has become restricted. I feel like the trees and the plants I see around me. I have grown and am growing roots and branches.

You get up in the morning and see a tree standing in the same place day after day, but is that really so boring? So many exciting physiological changes and processes go on in a tree or a plant! Roots and branches which spread, fragrance spreads, pollens are carried by different pollinating agents so many birds and insects come to the trees and plants, there are so many mechanisms for dispersal of fruits and seeds……………….

…Somehow, I am blossoming ……………………becoming tougher, developing more insights, motivating myself to regain vitality and trudge on…………..

I see life on the brink of destruction……………..but I also see life blossoming.

Grey is a fashionable colour too. A fashionable floral grey shiffon saree with yellow flowers, a grey dress with lovely pink flowers; a nice bedcover with shades of blue, pink and grey decorating my bed, grey cute bunnies, grey teddy bears………………..after a hot day, when the sky becomes dark grey and the breeze becomes cool making you feel so lovely…………….grey shirts, pants, suits which make men look so manly, stately and cool ……all this I love so much……………….grey is so nice at times……………

I see the sun emerging out of the clouds, with a nice warmth and a touch of gold seeming to kiss …………..

My mind brightens up………….I dream of flying and floating on the clouds kissing the sky.

It is very difficult to brush away negativity in tough times………..but everybody, do try.

Sravana has come- the season of clouds, rains and dreams, when Lord Krishna dances beautifully on the rain-loaded clouds to the rhythm of the raindrops.

A devotee of Lord Krishna, overcome by sleep in Sravana, enters into a state of trance and envisions the arrival of Lord Krishna. The Lord approaches her silently, sits and lovingly kisses her forehead. The divine kiss makes an incomparable, pleasant feeling blossom in her body, just as the kiss of the rains make Kadamba flowers blossom on the Kadamba tree, the Lord’s favourite tree.

The devotee had offered to the Lord all the flowers from her garden.

Instead of accepting all the flowers, the Lord plucks few flowers from her hair bun(khompa) and leaves.

The devotee feels that maybe, she had by mistake, spoken improperly with her Lord- so her Lord had left her. She could not recollect what she had said.

When she comes out of her trance, she cannot see her Lord. She cries, and tearfully begs her Lord to give her darshan. He does.
