The book is based on the New Education Policy of Govt. of India declared in 2020. This policy is being implemented across the country to bring about a transformative change in the Indian education system. Through this book the reader will learn about experiential learning in detail. It spans ten chapters, covering an overview of the Indian education system, conceptual framework of learning, implementation of experiential learning, teaching, 21st- century skill development through experiential learning, and an assessment of experiential learning.
The readers will also find that experiential learning transforms the traditional system of rote learning, i.e., memory based learning, by emphasising hands-on experiences, critical thinking, and practical application. It involves direct and personal experience combined with reflection and feedback.
About the Authors
Dr. B. K. Sthapak is an eminent educationist, scholar, and motivational speaker, with more than 55 years of teaching, research, and administrative experience in the institutes of higher learning. He has been the Director of Technical Education Government of Madhya Pradesh Bhopal, Founder Vice Chancellor, Chhattisgarh
Swami Vivekanand Technical University Bhilai, and Founder Chancellor, O.P. Jindal University, Raigarh. He is the recipient of Khosla Research Award, and has been honoured with the prestigious Life Time Achievement Award of Government of Chhattisgarh. The author of three books, including, Human Values and Life Skills for Personality Development;, that are being followed as reading material in several educational institutions across the country, Dr. Sthapak has counselled thousands of students and helped them in planning and developing their career.
Dr. R. D. Patidar currently serves as the Vice Chancellor at OP Jindal University in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, India. With a robust background in Electrical Engineering, he earned his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, followed by a postgraduate qualification in Power Electronics. His academic journey reached its
pinnacle with a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Electrical Power Quality Management from the prestigious IIT, Roorkee.
