“Some Friends Are Forever & Other Stories” is a book of collection of stories written by Rathin Bhattacharjee. Starting with his friendship with the irresistibly friendly Gopi, who was snatched away in the prime of his life, through the stories of Bapi, Bhaiya, Namita and a couple of other friends – the book takes us on an incredible journey in the Author’s life and shows us the importance of friendship in our lives. The book is also, in a way a way a celebration of friendship at its best highlighting lots of other values like Trust, Valour, Sacrifice and so on.
About the Author
Rathin Bhattacharjee from Kolkata, India, graduated from the C.U. in 1983 and completed his Master’s from J.U. in 1990. He joined BCSC as an English Teacher in the same year as well. Awarded HM’s Gold Medal in 2018, he resigned from the post of the Principal of SXPS, Joypur, India in March, 2024.
He has been published and anthologised in a host of Indian and international magazines. His novel entitled, “The Damon in Doctor’s Disguise” on Web Novel has been much acclaimed. Two of his other novels entitled “The Autobiography of CU’s Worst Student” and “My Sis: Through My Eyes” were brought out by ZobraBooks and Amazon.in respectively in 2023. His third storybook entitled “Some Friends Are Forever & Other Stories” is to be released shortly through the DIY scheme of Zorbabooks.
He loves writing, blogging, translating, podcasting, critiquing and editing.
