This is a poetry book, hardcover, with illustrations and two compelling stories.

Description

As you open this book, you actively step into the world of raw and real emotions. Through the Mind’s Eyes: Poems of Today, Stories of Tomorrow is a heartfelt collection that invites you to explore the depths of the human experience through 50 earnest poems with a horizon of themes including love, childhood, and the overall human life experience. Towards the end of the book, you will be greeted with a short novella, “Till death do us apart”,  inspired by writer C.L. Swinney’s work. Lastly, the book ends with a science fiction tale, adapted from Isaac Asimov’s “The ugly little boy”, the most heart touching and precious mother-son relationship story.
All the poems within this book are personal, and reflective. I wanted to capture all the fleeting moments of joy, loss, love, and hope. They are a mirror to my heart, offering a glimpse into my personal journey and the emotions that shape us all as humans. While our emotions anchor us in the present, our imagination propels us into the future. “Feelings are much like waves, we can’t stop them from coming, but we can choose which ones to surf.” -Jonatan Märtensson; and I, Aditi Gangwar, choose to surf them all.

Whether you’re a dreamer, a thinker, or simply a feeler, this book promises to leave a lasting mark on your heart and mind.

1 review for Through the Mind’s Eyes

  1. Shashidewan

I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed reading your book, Through The Mind’s Eyes. It was truly full of amazing poems and was great value for my time and money. However, I wanted to write share my thoughts on my 3 favourite poems: Born in Fire, Grief and My Soul’s Library.

    Born in fire:
I liked the use of rhetorical questions. They help to induce a connection between the reader and the poem while keeping the poem easily understandable. Overall, the poem has deep meanings with an inspirational tone.

    Grief:
I found this poem to be very impactful. It contains various phrase that provide vivid imagery on the affect of grief on the human. They have deep meanings which add to the experience of reading this poem.

    My Soul’s Library:
I found this poem to be intriguing due to its use of an extended metaphor throughout the poem. The metaphor of comparing one’s mind to a library is quite unique . Furthermore, I found the last line,’Will my story ever be written too?’ as a simple yet sweet prologue for the rest of the poem.

Although I enjoyed all of the poems, I loved The 4 that shape us the most. The poems in that section connect to my own spiritual journey and my belief about life as a whole. All the best for my young poetess! Go a long way my dear!

    With love and best wishes,

    Your reader,
    Shashidewan Singapore
